The Operation Colony Glacier on-ice recovery team walks to an Alaska Army National Guard UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter to be transported to Colony Glacier, Alaska, June 17, 2025. The team, consisting of members from Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, Armed Forces Medical Examiner, and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson members, looks for remains and personal effects from a 1952 C-124 Globemaster crash that took the lives of 52 service members.
