Staff Sgt. Rawls Subida, Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, dress and restoration specialist, pins fabric together during the annual Quilts of Valor sew day Feb. 4, 2023, designed to bring quilters together to make quilts for service members and veterans touched by way. This year, the Mason Dixon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7234, Ocean View, Delaware, hosted the sew day for the Quilt of Valor’s Delaware chapter. The Quilt of Valor Foundation was founded in Delaware by Catherine Roberts. More than 300,000 quilts have been awarded. Subida was one of a dozen volunteers from AFMAO creating blocks for another quilt. He is deployed from the 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jason Minto)
