POW/MIA Col. Kelly F. Cook

A 2001 Prisoner of War Missing in Action Recognition Day poster displays a mid-1950s era photo of then Capt. Kelly Cook (top right, holding helmet). Cook, the father of 512th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Raymond A. Kozak’s wife Maureen, was a fighter pilot, who was declared missing in action in 1967. Another family member had recognized the photo used on the poster from having seen it over the years in the Kozaks’ home and then informed the Kozaks of the poster in circulation.
