Fisher House Groundbreaking Ceremony
Gen. Norton A. Schwartz, Air Force chief of staff, praises the American Gold Star Mothers that were in attendance for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fisher House and meditation pavilion for the families of the fallen at Dover Air Force Base, Del., May 1. The Honorable Michael B. Donley, secretary of the Air Force, General Schwartz and Mr. Kenneth Fisher, Fisher House Foundation chairman, presided over the ceremony. The Dover Fisher House will serve only families of the fallen and is expected to be completed by late fall 2010. A portion of President Obama's Nobel Prize Award contribution to the Foundation will go toward the funding of this house. (U.S. Air Force photo/Roland Balik)
