Fallen Airman honored over four decades later

The Phillipsburg, N.J. and Easton, Pa. communities honor Maj. Bruce Lawrence Sept. 24, 2011 as his remains were brought through his hometown for the final time to a cemetery in Easton, Pa. Lawrence was an F4-C Phantom II pilot who was shot down in Vietnam in 1968. Lawrence’s remains were recovered and positively identified through the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command after they were missing nearly four decades. (U.S. Air Force photo/2nd Lt. Michael Gibson)
