It's been more than three years since the Fisher House Foundation gifted the Fisher House for Families of the Fallen at Dover Air Force Base, Del.

The house is designed to provide a place for families to stay when they travel to Dover to witness a dignified transfer of their loved one.

More than 2,750 family members have stayed in the Fisher House for Families of the Fallen since being dedicated Nov. 10, 2010.

In June 2012 a playground for children of the fallen was added through donations from the Friends of the Fallen and other businesses.

The Fisher House is part of the Campus for Families of the Fallen which includes the Center for Families of the Fallen and a Meditation Pavilion.
