Edward Linde, Mortuary Operations Management System program manager, received recognition for his work supporting Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations at the Charles C. Carson Center, Dover Air Force Base, Del., Dec. 9, 2011.

Linde served at Air Mobility Command Headquarters for more than 14 years and provided essential technical support for AFMAO.

"Mr. Linde spent countless hours over his many years working with the Dover mortuary providing the necessary support to ensure our nation's fallen make their final journey home with dignity, honor and respect," said Mr. Kevin McGarrigle, AFMAO technical operations officer.

Linde was honored by receiving a commander's coin and plaque recognizing his commitment to the mission.

"Ed will always be part of the AFMAO family," said Col. Thomas Joyce, AFMAO commander.

Joyce used many positive words to describe Linde during his presentation.

"While he takes on a new job in the Air Force with new responsibilities, I know he's always just a phone call away," said Joyce. "That's just who Ed is -- dependable, loyal, selfless -- the ultimate team player."
