Casualty and Mortuary Resources and Guidance

CASUALTY AND MORTUARY AFFAIRS PROGRAM AND TRAVEL GUIDANCE IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS
Headquarters Air Force Manpower, Personnel, and Services has released a policy memorandum to implement interim changes to current Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Program operations effective immediately in response to the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) national emergency. Department of the Air Force issues this document pending Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) guidance currently being prepared. Upon release of OSD’s guidance, Air Force will modify this memorandum accordingly.

This guidance relates to Emergency Family Member Travel for Very Seriously Injured and Ill Airmen, Escorting Remains, Dignified Transfer operations, Casualty Notifications, Past Conflicts, Installation and Unit Memorials and Military Funeral Honors. To view the memo click here.
